Description
The Rs 1 Coin – Saint Dnyaneshwar (1274–1296 A.D.), issued by the Government of India in 1999, commemorates the 700th death anniversary of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, one of the greatest saints, poets, and philosophers of Maharashtra.

His teachings emphasized devotion, equality, and inner realization, inspiring the Bhakti movement across India.
