Description
The ₹5 150 Years of Kuka Movement Coin (1857–2007) was issued by the Government of India and the India Government Mint to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Kuka (Namdhari) Movement, led by Satguru Ram Singh Ji — one of the earliest freedom fighters and reformers of India’s independence struggle.
The obverse side of the coin features the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, with “भारत INDIA” and the denomination “₹5” inscribed below “सत्यमेव जयते”.
The reverse side displays a finely detailed portrait of Satguru Ram Singh Ji, along with inscriptions marking “150 Years of Kuka Movement (1857–2007)” — celebrating a historic moment of courage and reform.
This coin honors the Namdhari community’s sacrifices and their contribution to India’s freedom movement, making it an extremely rare and historic collectible for patriotic numismatists.
